In 2002, Michael Sean Inc. was created in San Francisco, CA with a vision by an artist to provide functional art that clients could enjoy daily in the form of furniture. Although our products have always been high in quality and carefully designed with ingenuity and creativity, our collections have matured over the years and our service has been perfected. Today, Michael Sean Inc. specializes in the fine art of fine furniture by creating timeless products for your home or office. Our Commitment to Sustainability & the Environment

We recognize the negative impact that furniture production may have on our environment.  Therefore, we have begun to install new efforts in making our furniture eco-friendly.  In addition to doing what we can to create sustainable and environmentally-friendly products, we are also giving back to our environment.  Here we show and explain our efforts and goals in joining the Green movement:

1.  Our steel is 60% recycled and we are committed to continued research in using recycled products.  By re-using discarded steel, we are being supplied with materials that require less processing and fewer resources. 

2.  Glass and steel are recyclable materials and can be re-used in the future.  

3.  Our furniture is durable. All of our products are made by hand by highly skilled craftsmen and in a quality controlled environment. Furniture purchased from Michael Sean Inc. is an investment, as it will not break or be destroyed easily and end up in a landfill. In addition, our designs are classic and last for generations.

4.  Michael Sean Inc. donates trees through the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of each client who purchases a product from us. This new effort helps reduce our carbon footprint collectively.

5.  Our products are made in the USA. This means that we not only follow strict California and US production regulations with regard to environmental standards, but we are not using gas and energy to transport our products from hundreds of miles away. In fact our suppliers all lie within a 50-mile radius of us and each other.

6.  We offer biodegradable, natural fiber fabrics, like cotton, wool, and hemp, to all our clients, as options for upholstered goods.

7.  We emphasize continued improvement in business practices by joining and consulting with third-party environmental groups.
